How do I determine which size to purchase for my child?

Please measure your child's foot from heel to big toe, then reference our Size Guide to see which size will work best. All shoes run true to measurement. Please be sure to refer to the correct size chart within the Size Guide. If your child is in-between mocc sizes, we recommend sizing down.

How do I clean my baby shoes?

We recommend using a damp cloth with a small amount of baby detergent. Baby detergent is gentle and has conditioners to prevent the leather from drying out.

First stuff them so the leather is tight. Then saturate the shoes with the cleaning solution evenly. It's best to let the baby shoes sit and dry (preferably in the sun, if you can). They might dry a little darker, but they will lighten up shortly after.

My elastic piece that has been sewn together is sticking out of the side of my baby shoe. What can I do about this?

That is a very easy fix! If you pull the opposing side of the elastic it will pull through to the center of the baby shoe.

What type of leather do you use?

We pride ourselves on sourcing top quality leather and use 100% genuine cow hide leather for all our baby shoes.

The leather looks different from shoe to shoe. Is this normal?

Yes. We use the same color lot for each baby shoe, however some hides have a slight variance in the color causing your baby shoes to look a little different. Once they are worn a couple of times, they will start to even out. Since each shoe is handmade, each pair is unique with its own character and imperfections.

I have a crawling baby or a newly walking toddler, the toe of the shoe seems to be wearing the color off of the leather. Is this normal?

Yes. The color may wear off slightly on the toe if your babe is dragging their toes on the ground while crawling or starting to walk. This is just the nature of leather and is completely normal!

It looks like my pair of baby shoes came with two left feet. Is this normal?

Yes. The pattern for our baby shoes is the same for both feet. As your babe wears them, they will conform to their little feet and become the shape of that foot.

I purchased two different styles of baby shoes in the same size. Why does there seem to be a size variation between the two styles?

Since our baby shoes are made from 100% genuine leather, there can be differences in the thickness, especially from one texture to another. The thicker the leather, the better they hold their shape, with less stretch. This lends to them running a bit larger, with a slightly wider ankle since the thick leather doesn't cinch as much. Suede, for example, will run about a 1/2 size larger, since the leather is much thicker than the other soft soles.

Are Freshly Picked baby shoes good for walkers?

Yes! Our soft soled baby shoes are perfect for babes who are starting to walk! The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends soft soled shoes for early walkers, as children learn by gripping their toes on the ground and they don't need arch support yet. Why are there color discrepancies on my printed baby shoes?

Because we use 100% genuine leather and due to the nature of leather being a natural product not all hides come with equal pebbling and exact texture across the entire hide, unlike manufactured materials.

This leads to some variations the Nubuck leather we use to print on for any printed baby shoes vs a dyed leather. If there is a printed portion on your baby shoe, it could have a slightly different color than the heel or sole as those are often made with a dyed leather. These differences are totally normal and unique, making every pair of baby shoes one of a kind, just like our babes!

The Freshly Picked Bag Collection comes with an industry leading 120 day limited guarantee beginning at the time of purchase. We have gone to great measures to design and create high quality products to fulfill the need of both style and functionality. If you are experiencing an issue with one of our products please contact our MomSquad at hello@freshlypicked.com. The Product Guarantee will not cover issues that arise from normal wear, such as stains, discoloration, scratches, rips, peeling or tears. If the product has been altered in any way by the consumer once purchased (ex: personalizing via paint/embroidery/vinyl), the warranty is void and no longer valid. We do not recommend using alcohol based products to clean this bag, and doing so will negate this guarantee. All items purchased through an unauthorized retailer, or a secondhand-seller are also not covered under our warranty. Warranty is also not valid on products won through promotional giveaways.

How can I clean my bag?

To clean the exterior of the bag, you can wipe down with a damp cloth. To clean the inside of the bag, you can wipe with a cloth with warm water and baby detergent, then air dry. AVOID alcohol based products on interior and exterior.

Do all bags include a changing pad?

The Classic Diaper Bag, Classic City Pack, Minimal Diaper Pack, Drawcord Diaper Pack, and the Weekender include a changing pad.

The Classic Mini, Park Pack, Play Pack, and Classic Zip Pouch do not.

Can bag accessories be purchased separately? (i.e. changing pad and straps)

Yes! You can now purchase a separate changing mat and stroller clips for your diaper bag. 

Will my pump fit in the bags?

Many customers fit their pumps easily in our bags! Please refer to the dimensions listed for each bag to make sure it will fit your specific pump.

Swaddle

How do I set up my swaddle for the first time?

To set up the Swaddle for the first time:

1. Lay out the Swaddle Blanket and connect the Snuggle Band to the Swaddle Blanket, at the top of the hook and loop strip. Most newborns will need the Snuggle Band as high as it can be placed on the Swaddle Blanket.
2. Lay your baby in the Swaddle. Your baby’s elbows should sit just below the top of the Snuggle Band.
3. It is unsafe for the top of the Snuggle Band to cover your baby’s shoulders. If it does, remove the Snuggle Band and move it lower on the Swaddle Blanket. Repeat Step 2 and 3 until your baby’s shoulders rest above the Snuggle Band.

How do I size up my swaddle?

As your baby grows, you will want to adjust the product accordingly.

1. If you keep the swaddle blanket knot tied, check regularly and adjust the position of the knot to ensure your baby always has room to fully extend their legs. Just pick a slightly lower place on the Swaddle Blanket and tie the knot so that it closes slightly below the soles of their feet when their legs are fully outstretched.
2. As your baby grows in length, you also can readjust the snuggle band to be slightly lower on the blanket. Your baby may be strong enough to slide their arms out of the band if it doesn’t provide pressure from mid-bicep to wrist, so moving the Snuggle Band down on the Swaddle Blanket will help your baby safely and securely swaddled.

How do I wash my swaddle?

To maintain effectiveness of the hook and loop material, both the Swaddle Blanket and Snuggle Band can be washed in low temperature using the provided mesh bag along with any other laundry. During washing, hook and loop should be secured to itself so that it doesn’t snag the surrounding fabric. Product should be dried on low heat.

Can I use just the inner snuggle band?

Yes, the inner Snuggle Band can be used with or without the Swaddle Blanket to keep baby feeling secure. The Snuggle Band can be used without or without arms strapped to their chest.

Can it be used with the arms out?

Yes, the Snuggle Band can be used without or without arms strapped to their chest. As your child starts to roll over or your pediatrician recommends, you may swaddle with the Swaddle Blanket and Snuggle Band below the armpit. In this case, the Snuggle Band should be secured around baby's chest, beneath the armpit and the swaddle blanket should be wrapped around baby's chest beneath the armpit so the arms are free. Always follow your pediatrician’s counsel.

Can I return my swaddle if the baby doesn’t like it?

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns of used swaddle products for safety reasons. 

Is there an age or weight limit for the swaddle?

The Swaddle is designed for babies up to whenever baby can roll over, roughly 0-6 months of age. When your baby is able to roll over, and at your pediatrician’s advice, you should not swaddle your baby and discontinue use of this product.

What should my baby wear under the swaddle?

Always dress your baby appropriately in accordance with the ambient room temperature where they will be sleeping. Consult your pediatrician for specific guidance regarding temperature.

What temperature should the room be at?

The majority of your baby’s warmth and insulation in the night will come from the clothing they are wearing. Always dress your baby appropriately in accordance with the ambient room temperature where they will be sleeping. Consult your pediatrician for specific guidance regarding temperature.

When should I stop swaddling?

When your baby is able to roll over, and at your pediatrician’s advice, you should not swaddle your baby and discontinue use of this product.

Where is your swaddle made?

Our swaddles are handmade in a reputable facility in China. Freshly Picked has vetted the labor and safety standards of the factory and is confident in their ethical approach to manufacturing.

What testing has been done on the swaddle?

Freshly Picked is committed to the safety of our products and has undergone testing to ensure the safety of our products. Our swaddle passed all testing outlined by the Consumer Product Safety Commission to earn a Children’s Product Certificate (CPC) from a CPSC-approved facility. Below we have outlined the testing procedures performed and passed by the Swaddle and Snuggle by Freshly Picked.

What are the max and min dimensions of the snuggle band?

The inner snuggle band has a minimum diameter of 13” and a maximum diameter of 22"
around.

What is the TOG (thermal overall grade)?

0.35 TOG

Sandals

In what sizes are the sandals by Freshly Picked offered?

Sandals are available in sizes 3-13.

Are the sandal sizes the same as moccasin sizes?

No. They run true to standard child shoe sizes. We recommend ordering a size up from your regular moccasin size. View our sandal and sneaker size chart for more tips.

How does the buckle work?

The buckle is a custom prong-free design that makes it easy to put on your child's foot, and means the sandals work in between sizes as well. To use the buckle, thread the leather strap between the buckle and the notched end of the sliding catch. Slide the strap through the rest of the buckle as usual and you're done! To tighten, simply pull on the strap until the fit is comfortable.

What are the sandals made of? Are they leather?

Our sandals are made out of high-quality, water-resistant leather on top with a genuine leather insole, sewn to a durable rubber sole. The buckle is a nickel-free metal.

Can boys wear the sandal style?

Yes! Most of the sandal styles are considered unisex. Shop gender neutral sandals here

Do these work well with early walkers?

Yes! Our sandals tested well with early walkers. The cushioned rubber sole allows for flexibility, comfort, stability and durability.

Do these sandals fit chubby feet?

In fit testing, the opening of the sandal fit the majority of chubby feet. We recommend the Carmel and Delray Sandal styles for extra chubby feet.

Where are the sandals made?

Our sandals are handmade in Mexico by a family-run manufacturer that has been in business for 65 years and employs moms and dads whose kids wear our product. They hand-make each sandal with the same care and attention that is used in the US, using the same high-quality natural leather.

In what sizes are Freshly Picked sneakers available?

Sneakers are available in kids' 5-13. Shop kids' sneakers here!

Are sneaker sizes the same as sandal sizes?

Yes. If in between sizes, we recommend sizing up. Keep in mind our shoes are made of premium leather, which naturally stretches over time.

What materials are the sneakers made of? Are they leather?

Our sneakers are made with a genuine leather exterior and leather lined, durable rubber soles.

Do the sneakers fit chubby feet?

Yes, typically you do not need to size up for chubby feet. The premium leather will stretch to fit the form of your/your child's feet over time. If you are in between sizes, we do recommend sizing up though!

Freshly Picked stands behind the quality of our products and we are confident you will love your Freshly Picked product(s), as well! We proudly offer a Product Guarantee on our soft soles, mini soles, sneakers and sandals. We will offer credit or exchange for any manufacturer defects within six months of purchase. The Product Guarantee will not cover issues that arise from normal wear, sizing issues, print placement, or imperfections of natural materials. Normal wear includes scuffs or scratches based on wear or from any surfaces the shoes may have come in contact with. Because our shoes are handmade with natural leather, colors and textures may vary. We do not recommend using alcohol based products to clean our products, and doing so will negate this guarantee. What does FINAL SALE mean?

All final sale, third party or warehouse sale purchases are not eligible for a return or exchange.

How long do preorders take to ship?

All preorder timelines are specific to the date and product purchased. You can find preorder shipping estimates under the product page, during the time you make your purchase. Of course, our team is happy to help with any questions on your order.

How can I check the status of my order?

You can check your order status here. Each product may have a different fulfillment time frame. Ready to ship products generally take 5-10 business days, however we recommend referencing the product page at the time your order is placed for the most accurate fulfillment estimate.

How is my return processed?

Once we receive the returned product(s) back at our warehouse (after inspection), our team will process your return. Please allow up to 2 weeks for returns to be processed. For more information, please see our return policy here.

Can I change my order before it has shipped?

Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to change orders after they have been placed.

Why do I have to pay to pick up my package?

When you order merchandise from another country, you are required to pay customs to bring that item into the country, it is your country’s sales tax. We cannot declare your item as a gift, as that is illegal and a federal offense in the United States.

Why is my product darker in person?

Due to many contributing factors, products images can appear slightly lighter on the website than they do in person.

What if I enter a wrong or incomplete address on my order?

If your package is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, you must pay all delivery costs to re-deliver your order to the correct address. We are not responsible for the loss of your order if the address provided at checkout is incomplete or incorrect.

When will my order ship?

Orders typically take 1-3 business days to process before shipping, unless otherwise noted under the shipping details on the product page during the time you make your purchase. International orders can take 1-2 weeks+ to arrive once they have shipped.
