How to Celebrate Women's Month

We honor women all year long...but this month is extra special. Here at Freshly Picked we are proud of our majority-female team and proud to be female-founded! In celebration of National Women’s Month, we listed different ways to appreciate empowered women with your kiddos.

7 Ways to Celebrate Women's Month

Send thank you notes. This is a great way to let the women in your life know how much you appreciate them. Have the little ones honor a special woman in their life by writing a thank you note or gifting this cute cosmetic pouch!

Celebrate your own history. An awesome opportunity to share stories with your kids about the women in your life, and share your personal history.

Read female empowered books. Teach your kids the importance of strong women while getting some snuggles.

Our favorite children books:
A Is for Awesome!: 23 Iconic Women Who Changed the World
Rad Women A to Z (good ready for you little boys)
Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls
I Look Up to… Malala Yousafzai

For the mama, we listed some of our faves:
Untamed by Glennon Doyle
The Moment of Lift by Melinda Gates
Becoming by Michelle Obama
Dare Greatly by Brené Brown

Support female owned businesses. Find your local companies or favorite brands run and owned by women!

Watch girl power films. This is such a fun way for your kids to see strong girls in action. Moana, Mulan, and Brave are our favorites!

Have some girl time! Catch up with all your girlfriends, order your favorite takeout and have an online dinner party with all the special ladies in your life.

Finally raise a toast to yourself! Whether you're a mom to be, mom of three, or fun aunt/supportive friend, thank you for being an inspiration to the little girls and boys in your life!
